  incompetent cop did absolutely nothing, but since when was that surprising?

  strictly speaking the synopsis is inaccurate he doesnt actually bite heads off of his victims just goes ham on the jugular (having said that i’m not 100% sure logistically how they would have pulled that off esp in the 80’s)

  i’m surprised to see that edward terry hasn’t done much else besides this, i think he was the only part of the film that’s entertaining

  setting this film with the historical context of the Vietnam War looming over them, it’s hard not to draw parallels between the notion of gratuitous violence. whether you’re a “war hero” or not big leatherface gon get ye 

  we get to see the conception of sherrif hoy, find out why wheelchair dude has no legs, see them building on the realisation that it’s possible to hunt people for sport in this…
