Leaning on the absurd, part autobiographical. In terms of source it is purely art in a sense that it makes you feel the subject matter that it tries to propose so vividly. Death it seems to our protagonist Yukio Mishima is the ultimate principle that drives all Art and Action. The knowledge that death exists allows for all to exist. The visuals were great and the staged scenes encapsulates how it feels to read a novel. The Surrealistic imagination one has when reading.
