  I wanted to like this SO much more than I actually did. There was plenty here that made my skin crawl, and swiftly regret my decision to watch this fully in the dark. However, some of the acting/delivery, and one or two parts of the story didn't do it for me. Unfortunately, it split me right down the middle.   I would destroy galaxies for that adorable little fishy kaiju baby.

  All in all, as little as I know about the Ultraman IP - which is to say, pretty much nothing aside from what was in this movie - this was a splendid watch, and it fills a nice kaiju-shaped hole in my soul.

  This clicked with me because I was once a teenager who stayed up late watching spooky YouTube videos, and digging into internet myths, psyching myself out, and ultimately making myself 110% sure that just within the shadows behind my door there was a wiggly wild nasty come to kill me to death.

  Additionally, I'm 100% positive Casey listens to Deftones, you cannot convince me otherwise.
