very good film, been watching the queen's gambit (rewatching twice i so unwittingly I compare the themes) and noticed the slicked side part (wearer's left. not sure if that is relevant) on the Russian men, interested in soviet hairstyles - relation to the cold climate perhaps? the bowler/fedora in England to protect from the sun which influences men's hairstyles surely. for women the bonnet sort of avoids disturbing the hair so isn't relevant. is the hair at all relevant? tangent.…
