This might be the most bizarre attempt at a film that I have ever seen. The editing wasn't just awful, it was completely unexplainable. The music was surreal, and not in the good way. The complete abuse of deus ex machina hits me right in the anger spot. I did not enjoy this.

David Lynch's Surrealist horror "Eraserhead" took me on an open-top car ride through a black and white tunnel-purgatory, the air saturated with palpable loneliness, frustration and the confiscation of freedom. Set in an unexplained and mysterious, dystopian city scape, the story follows the character "Henry" through scene after scene of surreal and twisted representations of a life that oozes repressed sexual desire, regret and, finally, Guilt. One thing I would say, this is not an "entry level" film.

"Hereditary" is a rare breed of horror film. Its patient, Its intelligent and it instils in the viewer a genuine sense of dread that is carefully cultivated over the course of the film through subtle use of sound, imagery and impeccable acting.
