  Unfortunately not adapted well.

  The book is truly a magical, unforgettable experience. But the movie struggled a lot with certain aspects. Primarily, it struggled with focusing on the relationship between the characters with their time at the castle, as the book builds up the reader's care for the characters through all of the focus they put on their flaws and their merits, as well as an earlier depth into their backstories.

  The characters' backstories were only revealed towards the end…
