This movie was about a 2006 rom com take on an interracial relationship. And it was just that. Very 2006. Also not enough com. This movie would have been better as a romantic drama I think (looking at you grocery store scene).
Best parts:
1. When one of Kenya’s subordinates at work offered her a handle of tequila that he keeps at his desk when she was nervous about not being promoted to partner.
2. The dog Max :)
3. The photo/video montage at the end.
You’re tellin me this movie features the karate kid, one of the og Wet Bandits, AND Marisa Tomei?! Fantastic. Excellent. Love. Absolute chefs kiss babe. I could listen to Marisa Tomei give monologues for days.
Fantastic film once again from Wallace and Gromit. My only qualm is that Wallace STINKS for making poor Gromit feel unneeded 😞 that was upsetting.
But laughs for the whole family!
I would have been positively terrified of those gnomes and this movie would’ve haunted my nightmares if I’d watched this movie during my childhood, but since I’m fully 25 years old now, I was very brave and enjoyed it immensely.
Regarding movies with gnomes as a main character, I’d have to rewatch Gnomeo and Juliet to give a definitive ranking.
