  Hackman's a class act and an acting class in this Class Action.
  CA's a courtroom drama that has a twist, estranged father and daughter are pitted against each other in court.

  I'm not sure how this latest entry in the Denis Villeneuve catalogue can be mistaken for a masterpiece. Maybe the confusion stems from the movie being overly long and pretentious.
  It commands no engagement from the viewer; there's no flow, no dynamics and no soul for all I know.
  What it does have is another brain-draining blaring HZ score, which is so much on the nose and over the top you keep wondering if he saw the movie whilst scoring it.
  At some point I had to force myself to take a nap because I was bored senseless. Sorry.

  The Holdovers 2023

  Although the tone is bittersweet, it's one of those movies you wish you could walk around in. It's slows down time (in a good way) and draws you in.
  Like a warm christmas version of The Shining (all work and no play makes Angus a dull boy).
  I have a soft spot for Alexander Payne's movies. Highly recommended!
