Enys Men 2022
An arthouse film, submerged in Cornish mythology. Excellent visuals and editing. Though I would have appreciated a bit more context to understand the mythology being explored, this film was so deeply atmospheric, continuing to tint the tone of my surroundings even when I existed the cinema.

At first I didn't get how this was a horror film, until I emerged from the cinema harrowed and realised that it was one of the most effective horror films I had seen. No jump scares or demons, just the horror of slowly being alienated from someone who is a fundamental part of you.
