  I guess I’m not the right audience for this movie, but it’s pretty terrible. There’s no real story and the acting is terrible. I’m not a fan of things being extremely gory just for the sake of being shocking. We didn’t end up finishing after 45 minutes of watching.

  I only left off half a star because of the way it ended, but apparently it’s exactly how the book ended. I can respect that. Overall, I loved this so much. The history, scenery and acting are all A++. Mariko and budget Tom Hardy are the backbone to the story. 

  It was so refreshing to watch something this good during a time where tv just generally sucks.

  It doesn’t live up to the original, but it was still a fun movie. The beginning was slow and the songs weren’t very good, but it picks up momentum towards the middle.
