This would've been a 3.4 on Letterboxd with 40% of thr audience giving it a 4.5 or higher and 40% of the audience giving it a 2 or lower if the Wachowskis had made it.

On one hand I'm glad Spielberg made it because I can't see many directors actually making anything out of this script and setting. On the other hand there's a few directors that I think would've been more interested in exploring the central conceit of Precrime rather than just a general "the future" that Spielberg was clearly more interested in.

"God would never destroy his creation."

"He did once. For forty days and forty nights."

And after God vowed never to do so again.

God's absence is sensed. Man has usurped the throne and transgressed upon that vow.

There are no rainbows in skies obscured, be it by clouds or by smog.

We have only each other to save us now.

I think depending on whether you view this film primarily through class dynamics or gender dynamics leads you to perceive Igor either as the proletariat hero of our dreams or just a bottom-feeder taking a piece of the world for himself by subjugating women and being a willful participant of the patriarchy.

"Transsexual clown youth of America" is perhaps the best description of my childhood possible.

I don't feel I can give this a fair number score because I have at least three mutuals in this film.
