Pretty great horror comedy creature feature. I’ve seen people reduce it to just Tremors in ireland. it’s well more than that. Uses it comedy themed of alcoholism and workaholism to its fullest extent. The special effects held up better than I expected. This is a rewatch for me as a saw it on Hulu when it originally came out I believe. I was worried the micro-budget effect would be worse over time. A solid romp.

Maybe some recency bias, but I loved the hell outta it.
Black bag has a hyper-specific cinematography: yellowish-cream, blue(not too saturated), touches of brown, and what I would describe as a gloss trim. An Agatha Christie-like closed-door murder mystery…without the murder.
Conclave is very well paced. Everything feels in harmony. Just enough meat for each actor to deliver great performances with. Twists big and small galore.
