The Substance 2024
Overall this was an entertaining and well executed watch for fans of body horror. I do however feel like it had made its point about 30 minutes before the end, which made the final act a gratuitous (albeit fun) and somewhat pointless exercise in grotesquerie.

Finally, a Marvel movie that treats the multiverse weirdness and the gratuitous cameo trope with the respect and seriousness they deserve - none.
Yes, the plot is mostly just an excuse to take us from one gag to the next, and yes they spend way too much time in the dumpster dimension (at least they make the most of the time spent there and the opportunities it presents), but man if I wasn't entertained in a way I hadn't by a Marvel product since Endgame.Translated from by
