  i’m autistic and i’m proud of it. there are so many things wrong with this film i don’t even know where to start. this is a harmful portrayal of a non-speaking autistic girl portrayed by neurotypical maddie ziegler. there are two scenes where maddie’s character is having a meltdown in public and prone restraining is used. prone restraint is dangerous and can be deadly. don’t use it. this film hurts. don’t watch it. i would give it zero stars if i could. ps fuck autism speaks.
