  Probably the best film I’ve seen dealing with grief. It was so painful, I could barely watch it. Philip Seymour Hoffman is amazing as usual. How come I never heard of Love Liza before?

  Bunch of great actors together, great scenery and well shot. But Schnabel could have done so much more with this. There’s so much to tell about Basquiat’s short but interesting life, and it hurts me to say I didn’t feel much during this movie. It felt like the writers didn’t choose the moments well enough, as for the dialogs that often feel unimportant. I’m not saying it had to be over dramatic, but I missed a flow to really get into it.
