The film is truly impactful. The rawness and humanity with which it portrays the 1972 tragedy are impressive. The performances are so moving that they successfully convey the suffering, desperation, fear, and hope of those who experienced the Andes accident, as well as the incredible resilience of the survivors. It’s a harsh story that undoubtedly leaves a mark on those who watch it.

The cinematography masterfully captures the vastness and danger of the snow, making the audience feel the hostility of the environment. Every detail, from the performances to the setting, contributes to creating a deeply emotional and unforgettable experience.

“Contraataque is a Mexican film about the special forces’ fight againstorganized crime. The performances are excellent, and it manages to maintain tension until the very end. The movie has a good runtime and, from the very first moment, it captures the audience’s attention (at least for me). I liked it—it doesn’t beat around the bush and gets straight to the point of the plot. For a Mexican film, I honestly enjoyed it a lot.

I started watching the movie because of a recommendation on TikTok, and honestly, it caught my attention from the very first moment. It’s a comedy-drama, so for me, it was just right. The chemistry between the protagonists was amazing, and it’s a good movie I’d definitely watch again. To be honest, I watched it in the middle of the night, and I tend to get really sensitive at that time, so it made me really long for something that sweet—you know, someone to experience love with and all the clichés that come with it.

It’s a good movie. I’m not a fan of this type of film since I haven’t seen the other parts, but I found this one quite enjoyable to watch. However, I felt that the Mexican slang (especially the swear words) was really forced, and it made me a bit uncomfortable. It was very noticeable—or at least I noticed it. Still, aside from the forced use of slang, it’s a good movie overall.
