Fantastic, meticulous acting. The eyes really are the window to the soul. You really have to pay attention to this show; half of it is told in the body language. Beautiful characterization. I hope the yakuza plot remains more of a background in the second season, not overshadowing the exploration of friendship.
I wasn’t impressed with the script until more the end. The sentimental moments were definitely more caught in the visual acting. Only a few times did I look at the subtitles and go, “oh, that’s beautiful.”Translated from by
