Visually stunning with great leads. Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya have sweet sibling chemistry that’s pleasant to watch. Unfortunately there was absolutely no story in sight. This was such a disjointed film with almost no real tension or suspense. To put it simply it was very hard to give a shit about anything or anyone which is a shame. Some filmmakers can pull off a meandering plotless film but it’s usually not within this genre.
It’s perfectly fine to walk…

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this film. Most depictions of French North Africans in French cinema are quiet awful and lazy, especially in the « social drama » genre. I thought this was going to be just another one of those but I was touched by the care with which these characters were depicted, the tenderness they were still allowed to have. The story does feel too familiar and at some points predictable but it is still worthwhile. The photography is by far the best thing about this film. The acting is the second best thing. I also loved the ending.
