What a beautiful film! I had originally wanted to watch this for the animation only as I’m not a huge fan of LOTR, but this has made me want to revisit the films. Also who doesn’t love a story about women warriors!

*mild spoilers ahead!* First half is more or less serial killer asmr. Because the setting is so beautiful it was strangely calming. About half way through is when the gore and horror begins. There is one very unique and gory kill that will stay with me forever. Honestly I was expecting more “in the mind of a killer” but we were given more of a “Folk Horror Hicksploitation Slasher”. Did not think there would be a supernatural element, but surprise!…
