The Little Mermaid 1989
I haven’t really watched this one since I was little, like REALLY little, tbh it might’ve been the first movie I ever watched lol, but I decided to revisit it on a whim and yea it’s great. The songs are incredible, Ariel is such a compelling and great protagonist, Eric is such a dork and I love him for that, And the final fight scene is SO GOOD. I do wish it was a tiny bit longer though, I kinda wish we got more screen time with Ursula but idk. Overall very good.

Let’s start with some positives, surprisingly the animation isn’t as bad as the trailers made it out to be, there are so good uses of CG and shading to make it look like a movie, it was also better than I expected it wasn’t that painful and I was alright sitting though it. Some jokes here and there made me chuckle a bit like the one joke where the main antagonist…
