Manchester by the Sea 2016
All I could think about was how Hollywood promoted and rewarded a man who had been accused of sexual assault. And how people attacked Brie Larson online for not clapping when he won the Oscar for best actor. It really muted the reaction to the film for me.

This film was incredible and meant so much to me as a representation of Arabs caught between worlds not knowing where to fit or who we're supposed to be.
