third time watching this film, favorite time watching this film. cast in an amber glow, wes anderson sparkles with this 120 minute joyride.
i’m not typically into claymation, i haven’t seen coraline or the nightmare before christmas…albeit this fantastic little film may just act as a launch pad into my claymation era.
who knows? maybe you’ll catch me in the back of hot topic digging through jack skellington merch. it could happen!
goodness gracious this movie had sick moments. saltburn lives up to its name in terms of the top-notch “gotcha!” moment.
i love a good layered story with a sinister twist, i.e. knives out.
i am hungry for more mysteries that subvert the normal cliches. i’ve heard good things about agatha christie adaptations: murder on the orient express, crooked house, death on the nile…
jacob elordi slays in this, after watching saltburn & priscilla back-to-back, mr elordi ALSO lives up to his name in terms of being 6-foot-somethin-sexy.
although i do have give respect to rpat for his dedication to voice acting, i found it rather distracting at first.
as much as i’d love to dote on the stylistic choices made, and kooky creatures that you meet along the hero’s journey….frankly i was incredibly overstimulated in that godforsaken theater.
unfortunately there were many film fanatics that took it upon themselves to recreate various noises during the film. i think if i was able to watch it by myself, instead of in a zoo of a theater with my obnoxiously obvious mouth-breather father, i would’ve enjoyed the film to the fullest extent.
