  I was a fan of the first demons for sure, so it was a no brainer to check out the sequel. I can say that I probably liked more things esthetically in part 2 due to its 80s DNA spilled all over the screen. I like both of these movies but struggle to say I love them for some reason. I truly want to fall in love with these movies but they just end up feeling okay in the end.…

  Pieces 1982

  Finally got around to knocking this one off the list of classic iconic slashers. It’s good, not great. Bathed in giallo while having the slasher template is certainly my cup of tea however there’s not a lot of plot when you sit and think about it. The reveal of the killer wasn’t what I was expecting and they didn’t give a strong enough motive for me. However I do think it was a good time and had a lot of stuff going for it and I would absolutely re-watch this a handful of times with pleasure. Not perfect but certainly a good bloody time.

  This is not as bad as I thought it would be, it’s far from perfect or a classic but still not a waste of my money. It’s rare to balance comedy, horror, and romance but this does a MOSTLY okay job at it. The heart eyes killer design gets a 75% from me, could easily be improved upon. The blend of practical effects with cgi enhancement was just the right amount. I feel perfectly fine saying it’s a good middle of the road slasher.
