Priscilla 2023
Had high hopes as a Coppola fan but this fell a bit short. Couldn’t connect with characters and was hyper aware that Jacob Elordi was playing Elvis, couldn’t lose myself in the story. I did appreciate the less glamourised look into Priscilla’s relationship to Elvis. Overall though I didn’t feel like Coppola’s style rang true. She’s had such a good history of strong female leads and perspectives and this was a bit of a let down.
