I had a lot of fun, but I got excited about the plot potential with the duplicates taking death in turns, and then the movie ended up going in a completely different direction. as much as I would do anything for a baby creeper, I would have liked to dig into the expendables plot more. but this was still a wholly original and fun film, and I’m looking forward to seeing what Bong Joon Ho does next!
the best of Bridget since the first film!!! so lovely to be in a cinema full of genuine laughter and tears and pure love for this character 💞
the Brontë siblings are undoubtedly some of the most mythologised literary figures in history - endless biographies have speculated about their intense literary upbringing in Haworth, and how one family could have had such an extraordinary literary output. but even standing amongst this history of speculation, Emily is ultimately beautifully shot, emotively performed fanfiction. i almost wish i could have switched my Brontë-trivia brain off and simply enjoyed the film for what it was, but i simply have to reiterate that…
