    I really enjoy Memento, right up until it’s ending! 

    It’s so interesting and engaging, the editing is refreshing and the performances are strong, it’s such a shame that it all boils down to being explained to you in a huge exposition dump, when truth be told, I feel like I was getting it on my own accord.

    One of those examples of Nolan patting himself on the back for being the smartest in the room, rather than giving his audience the benefit of the doubt.

    This is a tough one to rank! It’s such a mixed bag. 
    Tom Hardy is great as Bane, all of his scenes are memorable, quotable, entertaining and filled with high thrill set pieces. 

    I also think the movie absolutely nails it with the relationship between Alfred and Bruce Wayne. In my humble opinion, it’s Michael Caine who steals the show here amongst all the wild explosions and high stakes tension. 

    BUT! 

    God damn can this movie drag! So many characters…

    Well, the damage control in the trailer was justified! Because this thing is a mess.

    A very pretty, ambitious, audacious and monotonous mess. 

    I admire the attempt and wanted to like it, but my eyes see what my eyes see, and that simply put, is a movie that falls flat on its face in quite an embarrassing manner. 

    Nothing is fleshed out beyond surface level nor is it given time to breathe or be indulged by the audience. It strangely…
