I thought this film pretty solid with regards to action sequences and suspense despite everyone's knowledge that "they have to live, it's a prequel." The twists and curves are interesting and well timed. The spectacle and visual effects are well done and look pretty cool.

Christian Bale does a fantastic job portraying Patrick Bateman in this film. His performance really shows how insane the character is through his actions and choice of words. The film is well shot and has a nice flow despite having almost no plot to drive it along. It simply follows Patrick as he gradually goes insane throughout the movie.
