The Young and the Damned 1950

WHAT I LIKED:
Impactful Ending – A powerful and melancholic conclusion. The plot twist made me stop and contemplate the fleetness of life.
WHAT I DISLIKED:
Excessive Sexual Content – The film relied too much on explicit scenes.
Underdeveloped Female Character – Luisa was not much more than a plot device.
Narration Feels Distant – The omnipresent voiceover felt detached from the main characters, and didn’t add much to the story for me. It was just distracting especially the whole - silent breaks that start right before the narrator speaks.
Immature Protagonists – The main characters were unlikable and shallow.

WHAT I LIKED:
Realistic Style: The film’s documentary-style cinematography and handheld camera made it more immersive.
Emotional Impact: Bloody Sunday captures the tragic and human cost of the massacre. The film doesn’t shy away from showing the crimes up close and personal.
Historical Accuracy: The film is committed to portraying the events of January 30, 1972, with unflinching honesty.
Balanced Perspective: While clearly sympathetic to the victims, the film avoids overt propaganda, portraying the confusion and fear on both sides. …

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 2002
(SPOILERS)
What I like:
Character Development: The film deepens the relationships between characters, particularly Frodo and Sam, as well as Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. Gollum’s portrayal as a tragic, multi-dimensional figure stands out as a highlight.World building: World-Building: The expansion of Middle-earth with Rohan, Fangorn Forest, and the Dead Marshes immersed me into the world.
Complex characters: The characters are more complex than the first movie, especially the secondary characters.
Battle Scenes: The battle at the end was pretty…
