Jesus Christ. Every line is whip smart, chock full of double entendres and snappy delivery. Monroe is hot. The sets and locations evoke the beauty of an older time in America, with extravagant resorts and beautiful beachfront. Even the starting locations look good with their old cars and snow swept brick buildings. There really was a time when the US wasn't ugly architecture all over. They don't make em as funny as this anymore.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 1974
Dropped some acid and watched this last night. You can feel how fucking hot it is in the movie. There is some incredible camerawork in here and the lighting gives it a psychedelic touch, especially in the scenes that are red. The closeup on her eyes is incredible, because it just keeps going and going. The shots of the bone sculptures are actually kind of terrifying. The whole film, beyond its back roads vibes, has a whole feel of brokenness.…
