A visually stunning and innovative film with a lot to be desired in the script department.
I absolutely love the way this film was constructed. And yes, I use this word very deliberately. The camera angles give the viewer the feeling of magnitude, the soft materials like silk and lace are made to look sturdy and hard like concrete. I wish this movie came out when I was a teenager I could just see my little moody teenage self becoming obsessed with it. Needless to say, even at 32, I enjoyed it tremendously, the atmosphere, the style, the music, the dark humor. Two main leads are fantastic and have a great "awkward teen" chemistry together. Highly recommend.
