The Red Shoes 1948
Watched this because it was mentioned in a book I read about Unlikeable Female Characters in film and it talked about the history of how women were portrayed in film if they were to be their own person and this movie really hit the nail on the head. A women’s freedom away from men, usually ends up in jail or death. Great read and good watch.
