    畫面華麗, but:

    - plot is meaningless
    - too many things happening on the screen and it’s very distracting
    - action scene is just 開大技
    - too many northern Chinese culture (親子家族觀) added on the movie

    I think it’s a realistic and alive descriptive of the brutal reality of Jews at US. 

    The choice of music, methods of photography, and slowed paced all makes the late 1900s come alive.

    Only down side is the architecture beauty is not illustrated enough.

    I quite like how the movie handles the contrast between tradition and modern: it makes an almost balanced stand so that either stand has their own point, just a bit biased to modern tho. It also express the character of traditional Chinese old man 要面 & 心口不一 personality very well. The way how an old man at the end wanna try suit to be closer to his son is very impressing.

    An extremely excellent movie. 

    Theme
    As a crime film, it blends perfectly with two extremely influential ideas in psychology: sex and aggression by Fraud and (extreme) behaviourism. The meaning of the movie is very deep and well-illustrated too. It brings out the dilemma over (i) free will, (ii) social synchronisation, and (iii) social contracts, brining out discussion over human’s meanings of existence, human’s good and bad natures, true-self vs hypocrite and socialisation.
