Henry Fool 1997
I was a big Hal Hartley fan in the 90s and I’m now rewatching and enjoying many of his movies. This one has so much to offer but seeing it now for the first time in over a decade, what struck me the most was how flippantly it deals with pedophilia. So much seems to be well thought-out - I wish more thought had been given to a character who doesn’t accept full accountability for the fact that he’d had sex with a 13 year-old girl.
