The vignettes could be tighter. This film is confusing and tedious. In some ways it’s similar to Un Chien Andalou but drawn out. Twin Peaks 1989
After watching Mulholland Drive I was in the mood for more David Lynch. Thought I'd go for something a bit more accessible. Classic. I've seen this pilot a few times before. It was fun to watch again. Love the music. It's so beautiful and really evokes strong emotions. Plus it was produced by Monty Montgomery who later shows up as The Cowboy in Mulholland Drive. Anyway, this show has become so iconic over the years. I feel like so many musicians were influenced by this film. Again the music is really strong. Plus it reminds me of where my family lives in PNW. 4/5*
