This film provides a nightmarish glimpse into the underbelly of suburban America, and ties in the loss of innocence with it to boot. It captures a lot of themes that Lynch would go on to bring into his television series, Twin Peaks. Definitely worth a watch! (tw: domestic violence)

A unique horror movie in the spirit of Silence of the Lambs. I was pretty on edge the entire movie staring at any empty space that was left around characters, waiting for something to appear. Nic Cage never disappoints in making a memorable character that will stick with you long after watching.
