no questions here regarding the exploitation of sensuality in cinema, this film has perfected the restraint that is called for in such moments. yes very “earned” !
refreshing and lovely to see a love story between two women handled with such sincerity, especially being from the 80’s?? wow no kidding around here
even if the editing sometimes undercuts the flow (unsurprisingly, the bluntness in some cuts were made from a man’s hand whilst everything else in this movie is constructed…

performances are overwhelmingly stunning- each actor brings a depth to their character that is nothing short of transformative and their ability to convey the complexity of fear, pain, love, and identity with such restraint and authenticity is remarkable!!
thoughtful camera work drawing us closer to the characters and the setting, feeling every moment, quiet tension of a shared glance or the visceral weight of a life changing event.
