This film pulls no punches in its criticisms against misogyny and the hypocrisy of the authorities when it comes to hate crimes against vulnerable groups. Some of the scenes addressing this are hard to watch because they're so crude it makes you uncomfortable, we're talking stuff like actual depictions of murder and other misogynistic violence.
Overall I really recommend this one, just be cautious if you're feeling sensitive.
There MUST be a queer metaphor in this because otherwise this film doesn't make sense to me. All I could see- through my own queer, genderfuck-y eyes- was a metaphor of the transmasculine body, sexuality and mind going through transition, although not a very flattering one. In fact I would even go as far as to say this is a very cissexist, voyeuristic, misery-pornographic, portrayal of white and thin transmasculinity.
