I still like Babylon, but after watching this it is kinda crazy that Damien Chazelle has made two movies that borrow so heavily from other films. Just a little wild.
That aside, man, this PTA guy can make a movie.

A life changing film, so much so that I'm not really even sure what to write. I love the way Wenders focuses on such little things in life and treats them as important as how dramatic turns in a "normal" script would be treated. I love how much we learn about Hirayama just by living with him for a few days, seeing the way he works, the small little joys he finds in a life that is so simple but…
It's hard for me to articulate how I feel about movies like this. I love movies like this, films that can make me feel emotion just from some pixels on a screen. But articulating those feelings into words in a review? I'm not good at that. So I guess I'll leave it at this. This movie is beautiful.
