Stylistically beautiful, a really fun (but thought provoking) political piece that pushed a very positive and effective feminist narrative. Unfortunate that there was a slight lack of queer representation or narrative pushed (but this could just be nit picking). Enjoyed every minute.
A terrible plot that reels you in for a 1 line cameo from Bruce Campbell. Another half attempt and re-creating a “cult classic” paranormal/ possession film using the name of an incredible horror series as a selling point. Has nothing to do with the evil dead series and not worth the watch.
Another theme on a trend for the Hellraiser movies (which I get is the point). Production value was decent and sold the movie more as a gore flick. The storyline itself worked well and allowed it to be a solid stand alone film, had some unexpected turns which was appreciated. Ended up being an enjoyable addition to the Hellraiser saga.
Pays homage to a bunch of classic horror films. Plot is fairly average and at times very predictable but the themes that were explored were refreshingly original. Camera work and filming techniques (SFX etc) really make the movie a gritty gore flick that is entertaining to watch if that’s your thing. Overall enjoyed it.
