The Brutalist 2024
Clearly an unpopular opinion but I don’t think this film is worth the hype. Feels like an exploitation of Holocaust trauma and architecture porn to create a pretentious film which has more aesthetics than depth to it.
Also, not sure how I feel about the need to artificially improve the language and accents of Anglo-American A-listers to make them sound credible as Hungarians (and even this failed with Felicity Jones 😬). When they could have just cast… Hungarians? But that…Translated from by -
