Beau Is Afraid 2023
first 40 min felt like a gruelling depiction of how a highly anxious person’s mind analyses the world around them. everything can and will go wrong. just the thought of leaving the house or having to call someone can somehow spiral into the worst case scenario - death. it’s completely unnerving and i loved it. then the film carried on and i just wanted it to end. felt like i was watching someone get waterboarded for 2 hours straight
