Horrible pacing. Even in it's climax, failed to create any tension and overall had no script. It was more of a documentary than a movie in direction, but it lacked any of the information you'd get from one. Fernanda Montenegro convincingly acts like an old lady, and is the only delightful thing in the movie. It had good sets as well. Almost entirely uninteresting to watch.

This was an absolute nothingburger of a movie. Like yeah okay nothing happens. Yeah, the movie is well-shot and it has funny dialogue but story-wise, there's not many meaningful events? You can guess the outcome 5 seconds in and the midterm isn't interesting enough to make me think this is a good (meaning Oscar worthy) movie. I wouldn't have liked this ordinarily and I think knowing it sweeped has made me enjoy it less.
