Brooklyn, NY
Movie diary from December 24, 2022
Did I just find my new comfort nyc film?Absolutely delightful.
There was a scene in the beginning where Izzy and Anton were having lunch that happened to be a restaurant on my old block in soho. The facade hasn’t changed since 1988 apparently, although it is different restaurant now. There are many more examples of New York in this film that felt so familiar to me, but I also felt completely transported to a New York of a different era.
Anyways this is a lot of saying nothing, but I enjoyed this film. It’s criminally underrated.
Really craving a falafel with hot sauce, a side of baba ganoush, and a seltzer now
Annual viewing of the Prince of Egypt. Repeat listens of the soundtrack to follow
Minus one star cause there could have been more Marisa Tomei in my opinion
