Yes.. I see the Letterboxd user who referred to this as 'Past Lives for Canadians.' At least in Past Lives the characters laughed once in a while? It took me two days to get through this movie because I kept getting distracted.
Me, wishing that László were real life character! Wouldn't it be amazing to travel and see his projects?
I'm so grateful that my local cinema scheduled a 9:30 AM screening on a Sunday—I was one of just five people watching. Time flew by. I felt like I could have watched this movie for hours. The first part, especially before the break, left me in awe. What a film!
That said, the ending felt a little rushed. Or was it? I'm not sure. Either way, I’ll definitely be watching it again.

I have mixed feelings about this movie. Some how the end was predictable; however, I still felt sad about it. Mahin is a very sweet and relatable character. Even being 30 years old, I could relate to what was she going through. Me and my brother are living abroad and our mom is back in our home country living alone in our childhood apartment. Mahin reminded me of her. But why make her go through this? Could not we have a happy ending instead?

The bird scene felt too unexpected. I struggled to connect the bird metaphor to the rest of the story. Appreciated Bailey's cinematographic vision.
