  As an avid enjoyer of the original Mononoke anime, I can’t help but hold this movie to a maybe too high of a standard.

  Ok somehow reading the novel made me appreciate this adaptation way more
  Also made me want to reread and also rewatch the novel it so desperately tried to be
  It’s so rare I find a film adaptation more enjoyable than the original
  Especially when I didn’t even the film that much on my first watch!

  I wanted to give it 4 but the things happened before were annoying.
  Still, I wish it can bring back musical cinemas… the ensemble dances, the costume, the props… they’re so nice.
  Also Ariana killed as Glinda omg I thought she’s gonna be perfect but I didn’t expect her to be this perfect!
  Somehow defying gravity still gave me goosebumps even when it’s cut into so many pieces!
  This movie truly did so many the musical couldn’t
