I loved how ambitious it is! It was a proper cinematic experience. Adrien Brody and Guy Pearce’s performances were stand outs.

I think it shows through the Laszlo’s story, it’s critique in the hypocrisy of the ‘American Dream,’ the contrasting lighting of people/buildings and the contrast between nature vs the architecture- how stark reality really is in this world. After experiencing such trauma in the Holocaust you’d think life would surely get better after but in reality the world doesn’t…

I feel like musician biopics are usually underwhelming and this is no exception. Ye Timothy is good-I’ll give it that. I feel like pacing of the film is a bit off and overall don’t think it gave a clear vision of what it wanted us to take from this snapshot into the early life of Bob Dylan’s career aside from the overwhelming nature of the sudden rise to superstardom.  Still happy I saw it though.

Nicole Kidman is MOTHER. I feel like her performance really portrayed that shame and difficulty in communicating your desires and and the added challenges in doing this as a woman, mother etc. However I feel a little underwhelmed by the way the story progressed and ended.

A just beautiful film- loved it all. Amazing storytelling about what it means to be human and the importance of connection. It’s heartfelt, witty, funny and in my view also a real tear jerker. Ye felt deeply moved by this one
