Fantastic. I question why, but I found myself rooting for DiNero’s character the entire movie. So needless to say I found the ending quite tragic. Nonetheless I loved Al Pacino’s character and found humor in the generally intense movie. I’m not an action/thriller movie lover, but I found this both entertaining and more multidimensional than most action movies. Although I can’t say any of this is very surprising considering the cast!

Almost Famous 2000
Certainly a feel good movie. Has the same energy as Dazed and Confused but a little more music and history which I appreciate. When I first finished this I was admittedly unimpressed, but the more I’ve thought about it since the more I like it. It combines cool musical history with coming of age and romance, which makes for a great story.

In the Mood for Love 2000
A tragic ending to a tragic story. While I’ll admit there were some lulls in this film, the cinematography and heartbreaking ending certainly made up for them. The colors of every scene and the characters clothing were so carefully chosen. I particularly liked the slides with commentary, I felt they really added a dramatic and melancholic effect. Overall certainly one of my favorite romantic movies and I recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind an ending full of tears.
