This is a gorgeous animated movie for older children or adults. The creators did a great job of capturing the mannerisms of all the characters. They were believable and lovable—not overly-saccharin, humanized versions of animals, but real, fascinating animals. We need more movies about ecological disaster, especially ones with animal characters. This movie gives us more reason to fight against climate change, after seeing it through the eyes of animals, and how they might react. Their world is swept from beneath their feet, just like it is for humans in natural disaster scenarios.
