This movie is part solid story, part blatant, unadulterated fan service. The good news is I was a fan of most of what they're channeling (to paraphrase Mitch Hedberg, I also still *am* a fan) and because of that, I've been very forgiving on the shortcomings. I had fun. I needed this when I saw it, and I still enjoyed it when I watched it again at home, so, it wasn't *all* rose-colored glasses.
It's no Spider-verse, but it's a solid romp, and I wanted to hug the cast for their banter scenes towards the end.
I haven't had this much fun at the movies since the before-'fore days. Delightful, energetic, fun, and the ending made me feel more satisfied than Swiss Army Man's fickle ending.
My grandmother told me that if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. So, here’s my review:
Time has been most excellent to this movie.
