  The Wiz is so much more than a musical to me.<3

  And the cast is absolutely STACKED, I’m talking Diana Ross???? Michael Jackson?? And the songs written by THE Quincy Jones?????? You’re joking. 

  I’m so shocked this movie didn’t do well initially…and that honestly reminds me of what is happening with Wicked rn…am I crazy or is this canon?? (Edit: I looked up the box office sales for Wicked and I was so wrong gurl it did more than good😭)…

  I enjoyed this movie, and looooovvvvvedd the MOST beautiful dark blue included in the color scheme (specifically whenever they show the night sky) and it was like probably the prettiest color I’ve ever seen in any film like ever I think…..

  I let this film linger in my mind for a few days, and honestly I can say my love for it has grown the longer I think about it. I am just a sucker for cinematic storytelling that involves real-life shit. I loved the rawness of it all and I might not shut up about it ever.

  Have I ever been to Ohio? Nah. But did this movie take me there? You’re damn right it did.

  But can we talk about how the kid literally sat in the dirty ass brown water tub for 16 HOURS during filming????
